Down the path from the Lahiri Mandir are Lotus Lake and the Yogananda Amphitheater. Located in a lovely forest garden setting among beautiful pines and oaks, this site was originally blessed in 1993 by Swami Kriyananda during a large event at Ananda Village called the Pilgrimage to Joy. At that time, the site was designated for a Chapel of Divine Inspiration, which couldn’t be built then. Now, 25 years later, we can enjoy the wonderful blessings of this site through the Ananda Pavilion of Gratitude.

The Ananda Pavilion of Gratitude reflects our spiritual path of Self-realization and the understanding that Paramhansa Yogananda has given us about the transition from life with a physical body to life without one. This transition is part of “the soul’s long journey through time and space.” The Pavilion is a place of spiritual upliftment, gratitude, remembrance, meditation, and prayer. It serves as a space to reflect on and remember the truth of our deepest reality: that we are souls, part of the all-pervading, ever-existing Divine consciousness.
