We just came out of what felt like the eternal Winter here  in Northern California. The Snow and rain soaked the much needed earth and we are now enjoying what may be called the eternal spring!

The Strawberries have had a breakout year.

4 seasons ago (2020) we planted roughly 100 Strawberry plants in the Lakshmi Gardens. For the past few seasons we have enjoyed a modest harvest, mostly a treat for the kids and staff to snack on while working the beds.

This year we have  basket after basket of beautiful strawberries, with no end in sight.

I’m also very happy to report that the corn and pumpkins which are slotted for our October Harvest Festival have sprouted and are doing really well in this mild spring. There is a saying in the Midwest where I grew up for corn. It goes like this “Corn should be knee high by the 4th of July.” I believe we are on the path to have this even during this very wet spring.
